Fusarium avenaceum and Fusarium oxysporum
Symptoms
- Infected seed potatoes result in patchy emergence and weaker stems
Infection and spread
- Via seed tubers
- Some Fusarium species occur naturally in the soil
- Infection via mechanical damage (harvesting, processing, grading, diseases and pests)
- Temperatures between 15 - 20°C and high relative humidity are optimum for infection and spread
