Symptoms
- Feeding damage to underground stem and roots
- Can result in an irregular crop
- Tuber damage
Spread
- Click beetle lays eggs in June/July
- Larvae remain in the soil for several years
- Wireworms cause damage in the 3rd, 4th and 5th year
- Mainly on fields following grassland or fallow
- Possible confusion with Rhizoctonia solani
