- Holes, particularly in the young leaves
- Malformed leaves at the top of the plant

- Often along ditches, hedges or adjacent to woodland
- Young capsid bugs are wingless

- Adults are true bugs ~6mm in length
- Green or brown coloured
- Long legs and antenna
- Drop to the ground when disturbed
- Young are wingless and slightly smaller
