Agriotes lineatus, Agriotes obscurus and Agriotes sputator
Symptoms
- Numerous clearly defined holes in tubers with a diameter of approx. 3mm, occasionally mines within the tubers
- Holes and mines filled with faeces
Spread
- Click beetle lays eggs in June/July
- Larvae remain in the soil for 3-5 years
- Wireworms cause damage in the 3rd, 4th and 5th year
- Mainly on fields with grassland as previous crop or uncropped fields
